How do I improve my online reach w Facebook?2869

Student jmolan private msg quote post Address this user

I posted this image a few days ago, on my Facebook site, as I was going out the door. I have not focused on the "eagle side" of my fans for a while (been writing a fishing book) The response kinda blew me away. This is how word gets spread around. This was shared by Hornby Eagles site on Facebook which has over 800k fans. So my "reach" goes over 40k overnight...:-)

This is the right way to do things.

Lots of folks write books, then go looking for readers.

You have readers ... waiting for you to write the book.

That's the way to go about it.

So, when will this eagle book be done?

Then again ... there are probably more fishermen in the world than bird watchers ... or not.

I have to sit down and catch up with you all on a few things, and see what everyone is up to. I happen to like this guys style. He shares a lot of good info before making the sales pitch. The video is over almost two hours long. Enjoy

There are lots of folks who have sold something - product, service, book, course ...

Instead of selling more of what they have, they feel compelled to teach others how they sell.

I wonder why.

Lots of folks have sold their widget. But can they sell someone else's and someone else's?

If they have made a good widget and it sold, why do they suddenly feel qualified to be a teacher of sales/marketing?

Wondering out loud here.

I will give this more attention tomorrow. These two images are:

Bottom image money spent and results in Face Book advertising.I "boosted" a post 24 hours ago.

This morning I posted the image with eagles, and ask my fans to share.

Paid boost shows: over 24 hours, 2,555 people reached, and 45 clicks.

Eagle image and request in 10 hours close to 5,000 reached, 77 shares. (If another page shares this (they have over 800,000 fans) the numbers go through the roof. The image at the start of this thread is one of the sweet ones.

This is not apples to apples. The Paid post is not nearly as captivating of an image, it's my book cover.
I guess I need to make identical post, and let them fight it out. I'll give the paid spot another day and probably kill it.

I have killed my first ad, and replaced it with another. I will wait 24 hours before showing the difference. Look like the 2nd ad is rocking, due to the fact it is appealing?

Two different campaigns on FB the lower one was an image of my book (it needs a new cover design, makes a lousy thumbnail) I pulled it after 3 days. The other campaign is an eagle pic (not even a very good one) with a little quip about book I am writing. I'ts been active 2 days, the difference is pretty amazing. Cost per link is like, Huh? I have a lot to learn, but thought I would pass this real world example along.

Thanks for this.

What's the end game of your FB ads?

Can you read the image? Not sure why the screenshot is so small. Endgame? Interesting I never think of that. I am a poor planner, at the moment I am trying to see if FB ads are worth my $, and the goal is to get a larger digital footprint.

@jmolan

I always start with the end in mind.

A lot of money can be spent on FB accumulating big numbers ... but then what?

@jmolan Img needs to be blown up to be readable.

CTA = Call To Action.

What are you asking ppl to do when they see your ads on Facebook?

Funny Bill (or maybe not) I'm not sure

The original filling out of the ad said goals? Page visits, Likes, etc.

You can see the two colored line, the short piece on the end is what FB got me, the rest is just good sharing and enthusiasm.
