Curious to know how many here are a team of 1?

Me. Unless I have to count the dog, who doesn't really contribute much to the word count of my novels unless I fail to see where she's put her paws on the keys. *G*

I usually work alone. However, I have a long-distance friend who proofreads for me.

For discussing job stresses, bouncing ideas and general stuff my husband and highly-extroverted 12 year- old fit the bill. (Living in a house with five other people, sometimes I wish I worked "alone."

In companies, technical writers, whether or not there's a group of writers and a manager, tend to work alone.
- Different projects
- Different people to talk to
Occasionally peer editing, not often, and that is lonnnnnnng after the largest blocks of the job has been done.

Long-winded way to say -- yep, I'm a team of one.

I work alone here... at this keyboard. No staff, and I don't want any. But I have several reliable support people I can call upon for different needs from content creation to graphics or coding.

I am currently in the process of establishing a significant joint venture undertaking for a new project we will be launching shortly.

In the past I have engaged in several small JVs, typically one-off projects that may run for weeks, months, and rarely a year or two.

Twice I have engaged in long-term joint-venture projects that ran for 8 and 10 years respectively, overlapping for about 6 years. It is rare to find this kind of a good fit, I think, but I am hopeful the current JV will turn out to be my third.

Does my parents count? Most of the time, they help a lot in the house and my son. Sometimes, they give suggestions and feedback to improve. In the end, I attend workshop helps more.

@Belew I started the Seniorpreneur Project having a 'computer services specialist' partner who presently has some serious health issues and as a result this situation has me working alone. However, nobody needs to work or walk alone if they have God as their partner. However; you must be prepared to focus more on service and less on being a 'money changer'.

@Seniorpreneur God is a good partner to have ... but sometimes I could hear better ... or maybe listen more.

Or maybe I don't want to know ... and that's why God is quiet.

I forgot about this picture when I posted earlier on this topic.
My miniature dachshund is more apt to be lying on the other side of my laptop,
though. She's a sweetheart,
even though she's never read any of my novels...or chewed any of them up,
either. *G*

@belew Great to have God as the partner. Great to have partners who have the same values though different personalities. Though I wish to have same values and personalities. But it can be good yet bad partners.

A friend shares her maid's story:
Her maid and her good 😊 friend have the same personality and temperament and can't swim. When they were in school, they were always together. One day, they accidentally fell into a deep swimming 🏊 pool. Her friend struggled to no avail. She attempted a way out. Her plan succeeded. However, she knew her limit. Thus she asked for her nearby teacher's help. In the end, her friend was rescued.
